This week focused on getting the Hero assets model and look dev done. Thanks to some amazing research by my team they located a model on artstation which looked good. I messaged the guy and he agreed to allow us to use his asset in return for credit on our mock ad. Link to the model here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/xJJ53E
When i openned up the model i found problems with the middle part. I also went and cleaned up all the topo and Un UVwraped it to get it ready for substance.

From here i started in Substance painter. First pass done in Substance

Worked on the shader in Maya using Redshift.
After this first pass i sent up some test renders.
This Tested allowed me to see i needed to work on the metal Displacement map for the bottom metal part. The reason it needs work is because the two metal parts should look the same. The Fabric also needs work. I need to scale it up and add more color. The wood feels to grainy and not smooth enough.

The notes i got from above i made changes. The thing i feel like still needs work is finding a better wood texture. But with the changes made i re ran the render test from earlier.
I feel like it already looks so much better. The Goal for the rest of the week is to do more Test render based off of my teams previs and create a Houdini file with the Texture and Shaders.
